Thanks, DWT, those are good additions to the list! Suzuki, in fact, was the first Buddhist writer I ever read, when I read his essays in Zen and the Birds of Appetite. I also have greatly enjoyed a number of Watts' books – Buddhist, Taoist, and Christian.
