Yeah, it’s quite interesting, isn’t it? I first learned about John Chang from the “Ring of Fire” video series that the Blair brothers did while traveling in Indonesia. He could be an illusionist doing “parlor tricks,” but this seems authentic to me. Not “supernatural,” necessarily, but a demonstration of a genuine “para-normal” power – greater than normal access to and mastery of the body’s energy systems.
being an open-minded skeptic is probably the route that most of us should take on these issues. i do find it hard to believe that everyone in that video was conspiring in a hoax. my own experience with body/energy workers is that indeed, there are subtle energies of some sort.
this field of inquiry is ripe for scam though as evidenced in the andy kaufman story. also, it starts to become a bit of a slippery slope too when he says he was admonished by his ascended master. you know bruce, some say angels exist in light form and transfigure into human form and even procreate with humans:)
i think also that these energies can’t be showing in the color spectrum as the traditional chakra teachings suggest. we would be able to register that bandwidth with instruments, so that part of the story is complete myth, imo…………
thanks for this videos. I share with you, Balder, an open attitude, and a certain dose of skepticism. This attitude is not the easiest one, and It would be esier to be a staunch believer or a full skeptic.
Anyway, then I strolled on youtube and found some interesting videos that made me think:
In these videos, both the Masters believe their mastering of Chi will work magic….but it kind of fails!
One could say these guys are cheater, but I tend to believe they are not and that they truly believe in their powers. Actually, it works with their students.
This reminds me of the cases of hysterics at the end of the 19th and beginning of 20th century (Charcot, Freud and all). These things cannot be seen anymore.
I was thinking that these Masters create a suggestion field between them and their student. It’s a bit the same story in evangelical catharsis, were people faint and speak in tongue. There may be a field, a special connectedness between people, where beliefs system are in complete harmony. This could allow the mind/body to manifest certain features that are normaly innactive.
It would account for the fact that it often doesn’t work with non believer.
I’m not sure about this, but it was just an idea I had.
Amazing! :-)
